🌸 A Spring Reset for Women in Riding & Business 🌸
Mar 08, 2025
As the days lengthen and the world starts to bloom, there’s an undeniable sense of renewal in the air. For equestrians, spring signals fresh energy—dusting off the winter blues, refreshing routines, and stepping forward with purpose.
On this International Women’s Day, I find myself reflecting not just on the changing seasons but on the incredible women who shape the equestrian world. From mentors who guide us with wisdom to peers who inspire us with their resilience—and those quietly forging their own path—our industry is rich with strength, passion, and determination.
A New Season, A Fresh Perspective
Spring isn't just about lighter evenings and greener fields—it’s about renewal in every sense. It’s a season of clarity, confidence, and connection. Just as we adjust our riding goals for the changing conditions, we can take a moment to reset our mindset and approach to business, riding, and life.
Here’s what I’m focusing on this season:
🌿 A Fresh Perspective on Progress
Success isn’t about sudden, dramatic change. It’s the small, intentional steps that build momentum—whether that’s refining a single transition in dressage or taking the first step toward a business idea that’s been waiting in the wings.
🌿 The Confidence to Own My Space
Riding teaches us to balance strength with softness, and the same applies to life and business. There’s power in trusting your own instincts, holding space for your ambitions, and recognising that your voice, ideas, and skills are worth sharing.
🌿 The Power of Community
Women in the equestrian world thrive when we support each other—not just in competition but in conversation, collaboration, and connection. Whether it’s a kind word at the yard, an encouraging message online, or a professional partnership, growth is always stronger when shared.
A Nod to the Past & a Step into the Future
Thinking about International Women’s Day also stirs a little nostalgia. Equestrianism has always been a space where women have pushed boundaries, refined their craft, and led by example—often with quiet determination. Dressage, in particular, is a discipline of precision, elegance, and patience—and there’s something powerful in the way it mirrors the journeys we take, both in and out of the saddle.
So, as we welcome spring and honour the incredible women in our community, I want to ask:
✨ What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this season?
Let’s celebrate the grace, strength, and ambition of equestrian women—past, present, and future.
